Stem cell treatment for Austin

Donation protected
Austin is the most incredible little boy, who has shown us what strength, determination and that “NEVER GIVE UP” attitude he has. He is an inspiration to us all and continues to remind everyone to live in the moment. Each day Austin lives with enormous amount of pain and struggles with daily living, but nothing ever stops him from smiling.

Austin was born on the 14th of March 2019 due to a traumatic birth and suffered significant brain injury, upon birth, Austin was immediately resuscitated, intubated and rushed to the NICU. He experienced HIE (Hypoxic Ischaemic Encephalopathy) due to a lack of oxygen and blood flow to his brain just before birth. Austin spent his first month in the NICU fighting for his life in a critical condition. On day 7 of Austin’s life Jason and Katelyn were finally able to hold their little boy for the very first time. As a result of Austin’s brain injury, he was diagnosed as a. Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy along with Epilepsy and Dystonia.

With the diagnosis of Quadriplegic Cerebral palsy Austin has very limited movement in his body which he struggles to control his head, trunk legs and arms. Due to his poor trunk control Austin has no ability to swallow food or drink safely, which means Austin is tube fed through a feeding tube.
Over the last 4 years Austin has participated in a variety of different therapies to improve Austin’s quality of life. His body has worked harder than an average adult over the past 4 years completing well over 500 hours of a range of different therapy including Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI).

We have created this Go Fund Me page to help fundraise a significant amount of money to cover the cost of Stem cell treatment for Austin.
For those of you that are unaware stem cells are basically specialized cells within the body that specific job is to repair and replace damaged cells within a body. In the case of stem cell therapy, specialized doctors harvest the cells multiply and reengineer them in a lab and injection into a patient in hopes to regenerate any damaged cells or tissue within the body.
Stem cell treatment will be a life changing treatment for Austin, in hopes that Austin will have improved muscle tone and strength, better neck control, improved fine motor skills, improved cognition and development and a better quality of life. For this treatment to be doable it requires Austin to relocate overseas for a month. The treatment costs are over $60,000.

We are asking for your help and support in order to make this stem cell treatment a reality. Please consider donating anything you can. In the case where you are unable to contribute financially, we ask for your support by Sharing this GoFundMe Page with anyone and everyone that you know. Any type of support that you can provide is greatly appreciated. we thank you once again for taking the time to hear our story and we hope that with your support we can get Austin to become a better, stronger, healthier version of himself.

We would not change our Austin for any other child, he is our son. We love him. It’s just so difficult because nothing is easy. Nothing for him is easy. When you have a child with this condition you do your best and try everything safely. You want to give it everything you can to give your son a better life.
