Join Ana Hernandez-Diaz in battle with Parkinsons

Along with her husband, 2 children, a beautiful grandson, extended family and friends, Ana Hernandez-Diaz is now fighting to regain her quality of life. She is a fighter and is giving her recovery all the energy she can gather at this time. After years of struggling, extensive research, and doctors appointments trying to find the best option for treatment, which was starting to look hopeless, we have finally found a glimmer of hope in Portland, Oregon Wellness Clinic. Ana will soon be undergoing an intense treatment at the Clinic that includes Stem Cell Regeneration. The goal being to restore Ana’s vitality, ability to sleep through the night, and reduce or eliminate the overwhelming tremors. All of which have completely taken the stronghold of her life which inhibits her from sufficiently being able to accomplish the most basic day to day tasks. The cost of the treatment is high and is not covered by insurance. Every donation, no matter how small, helps. Ana will be traveling to the clinic and incurring expenses as well as paying out of pocket for the expensive treatment.

Almost a decade ago, Ana Hernandez- Diaz, a successful NYC Police Department Supervisor/Executive Secretary, married 20 years with 2 teenage children, was living a very physically active and fulfilling life. She was an avid traveler, loved to work out and stay physically fit, and was making plans to become a certified yoga instructor.

During that time Ana began to notice a small tremor in her fingers that gave her cause for concern. In 2013, at the age of 47, after many tests and consultations with various doctors, came the devastating diagnosis of Early Onset Parkinson’s Disease. Along with her family and friends, Ana was shocked by a diagnosis that was the complete antithesis of someone who was so very physically active and who consistently made healthy nutritional choices daily.

Ana continued to live her life proactively taking great care of herself and learning all she could to slow down the neurological progression of PD. Many people were unable to tell that Ana had Parkinson’s Disease because she looked healthy and was thriving despite the diagnosis.

Ana’s diagnosis eventually forced her to retire from the NYPD after 28 years of service. In 2020, as the world shut down with the emergence and sweeping devastation of Covid, Ana’s PD suddenly took a turn for the worse and progressed at a faster speed than ever before. Her tremors increased considerably taking a devastating toll on her quality of life. Sleep has been evasive and almost nonexistent. The medicine that she had come to rely on to relieve the symptoms, now had lost their ability to calm the tremors. Ana’s quality of life has suffered greatly throughout the last 2 years, rendering her homebound and isolated from friends and loved ones. Even the simplest of tasks have become extremely difficult. At times getting dressed, bathing, or making a meal is not just difficult, it is impossible without the help of her loved ones.

We ask that you please donate and fight alongside Ana for a return to the vital and peaceful life that she enjoyed prior to the diagnosis of this terrible illness. We are grateful for all of the support and prayers as we stand behind Ana, one team cheering her on!

With much love and hope,
Team Ana
