STEM Build Malawi

In May 2019, we’re launching our first ever Women’s Engineering Expedition to Malawi. A combined group of 22 Engineers from the UK & around the Asia Pacific will spend two weeks building a new STEM Classroom block for Rainbow Hope Secondary School on the shores of Lake Malawi.
Rainbow Hope Secondary School was opened in 2017 and educates girls and boys from the surrounding community. Rainbow Hope Secondary School is a private registered secondary school located in Mangochi district, Malawi. The school is operated by Community Initiative for Self Reliance (CISER), a local NGO based in Mangochi. The school was established to compliment CISER's efforts under School Sponsorship Program, through which it offers scholarly support to orphans and vulnerable children. Rainbow Hope currently has a total of 124 students. We hope that this new classroom block will allow them to expand the number of pupils as well as provide much needed STEM educational resources to help in the education of these Malawi children.

We are needing to fundraise a total of £10,000 to cover the costs of building materials and STEM teaching equipment. The full amount of the fundraisng will go directly to the project.
Any small amounts you can spare would be incredibly appreciated and highly valuable.
Our sincere thanks in advance.
