Stem Cell's for Hayes
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Rebekah Davis and I am so blessed to be the Momma of my sweet little guy, Hayes. When we were 19 weeks pregnant with Hayes we found out he was gong to be born with Spina Bifida. Spina Bifida is a birth defect that affects each child differently. Some children born with Spina Bifida are able to walk and able to lead normal lives. Some Children need assistance to walk, assistance to urinate and have bowel movements. Some Children who are born with it develop fluid on the brain and are unable to walk and rely on a wheelchair for transportation. It was heartbreaking, dream shattering, you name it; it was a dark time for our family. Oh, but how the Lord was watching over us and our little guy. Hayes was born at 38 weeks and 5 days. Hayes was 7 pounds and 11 ounces! Hayes was indeed born with myelomeningocele, Spina Bifida, which is the "worst" case of Spina Bifida. Hayes lacks movement in his left leg but shows occasional movement in his right leg. Hayes' left side of his body is generally weaker then his right. Hayes' still struggle's with his trunk strength and is physically delayed, but not mentally :). Ever since My Husband and I were given the diagnosis of our Son, we were told what Spina Bifida was "going" to do him and the effects he would have to live with. Through other Mom's who have children with Spina Bifida we were told about Stem Cell Therapy. While the US does not support Stem Cell Therapy, Other countries do, such as Mexico and China. But they are allowed in Mexico. There is a company called Nova Cell who uses stem cells that our retrieved from donated umbilical cords that have shown to allow children and adults with Spina Bifida have an increased quality of life, have more use of their bladder, and be able to walk!!! Our Journey to Mexico would only be 2 nights. We would stay in California and travel to Mexico for 1 day for Hayes to receive Stem Cell Therapy through IV’s, and then we would be discharged that evening. Hayes' therapist do not believe Hayes will be able to walk unless he has some kind of assistance, such as Stem Cells. Please help and allow us to give Hayes the opportunity to use his legs and run!Nova Cell Institute
