**In Loving Memory of Stephan Baere**

It breaks my heart to share the news of our Father, Stephan Baere’s, untimely passing. Our papa was a ray of light. Heard from across sports fields, conference rooms, and the communities he walked through, our dad brought an energy and positivity that was not only infectious, but changed the lives of many that crossed his path. There wasn’t a day or time that my dad wasn’t grateful to be alive, and made the most of his life by double-ing down on life's thrills and ensuring that all of those around him could feel the same as him.

Our father’s favorite thing to do was to start the morning strong, early and reflect on how thankful he was to have the life he did and how he could improve personally, everyday with a walk. Our Papa tragically passed on the morning of the 11th, doing just that. While walking his best friend and dog Kilo, my papa did exactly as I know he would and made a decision to protect and save who he loved and was tragically struck by a train while saving Kilo.

Stephan Baere, was a man who was bigger than life. Stephan was the father of two boys, as well as the step-father of another son and a daughter; who he without hesitation raised as his own. He was a loving son, caring brother, role model and leader in the workspace, and a father that made you feel so loved and protected it convinced you your dad was superman. Simply put, he was a man who treated everyday as a gift and needed to share that gift with all those around him.

In this challenging time, we are reaching out to the community for support. Our goal is to raise funds to cover the funeral costs and provide financial and college assistance to Remi and I. Your contribution will help ease our burden in the face of this immense loss.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a significant difference in the lives of our family. We are asking all those that knew my father to come together to honor his memory and support Remi and I. My Dad was never the type of man to ask for help and instilled that in us, but due to the circumstances our family is beyond thankful for any help and blessings you can provide.
