Stephanie and Mike Fire Displacement

Donation protected
On Tuesday Sept. 8th my siblings and I woke up to a text from our mom, it stated "I may have lost my home and city tonight. Everything is on fire. We got out with a small bag of things. We are at Courtney's (our little sister who lives in Eugene, OR). We are ok. Just a bit sad."

My mom lives in Blue River, OR where historical winds hit. Turns out when then wind came a tree was knocked over onto a power line 3 miles from our moms home which sparked the fire. They were left with no time to gather anything other that 1 days worth of clothing, SOME medication, and their important papers. They were able to get out with all 3 vehicles, however while evacuating they had to pull over and leave my moms car 10 miles up the road at a friends house so my mom could drive out Lorie and her dogs to safety as well. Their friend did lose their home so we are assuming my moms car is gone from there are well.
They found out today they they wont even be able to get to their property for quite some time due to so many trees burning that they all have to be removed for safety reasons before anyone can return to their properties. Mom and Mike live between mile marker 43 and 44 so that's how many miles have to be cleared before they can even begin to assess their situation.

For those of you that don't know, my mom moved to Oregon a few years back with her awesome boyfriend Mike in hopes of living out her dreams of living...well the simple life so to speak. In that time she established residency in Oregon and it allowed my little sister to attend University of Oregon Law School in which my little sister just graduated and took the bar exam in Oregon.

In July my mom sold her home in CA. We joined her at her home just before she listed it and she gave us all memories and pictures and so much more to keep with us as she packed up the last of EVERYTHING she and Mike owned and headed back to Oregon. So every thing was in their 5th wheel that they called home on the MacKenzie River.

They dont have ANYTHING and they are still in a state of not knowing where to begin. Currently they are at our little sister Courtney's apartment where they are safe. But they need EVERYTHING. As the days progress I am sure they will gain a better idea of where to go from here, but I am praying that we can all come together to help my mom and Mike during these horrific times.

I posted a link from Facebook from the Blue River little facebook they have so you can try to wrap your head around how huge the fire was and is. Mom and Mikes house was right in the beginning of this video to the left of the yellow house that was still standing.
