Donate to help Stephanie and Robert pay for IVF

Hi, my name is Stephanie and my husband Robert and I are fundraising so we can afford to do In Vitro Fertilization. Rob and I have been together for almost 20 years and we've been married for almost 17. We have been trying to have a baby for over 10 years. We have gotten pregnant 8 times in the past 9 years but each pregnancy has ended in miscarriage. Now, Rob is 40 and I am almost 40 and we feel like our window of opportunity is closing. We have decided to try IVF as a final attempt to get pregnant. We are working with Markham Fertility Centre and have had an initial consultation and have started the baseline testing.

It turns out IVF is very expensive and one round will cost us $20,000-$25,000. This includes the fertility drugs, the egg retrieval, the fertilization and development of the embryo, genetic testing of the embryos, and the frozen embryo transfer. Because of our history of recurrent pregnancy loss our doctor advised genetic testing of the embryos is the best option to ensure we are transferring a genetically normal embryo with the best chance of delivering a healthy baby.

This is not an easy thing for us to ask for financial help. We have always tried to deal with our fertility issues privately but we have come to the realization that the only way we can move forward is by asking for donations.
