Stephanie Collins' son, Dylan, after tragic fall
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Jill Tennison and I'm fundraising for my friend and colleague, Stephanie Collins' son Dylan. He fell off his balcony onto the rocks below and broke his back among other injuries. Here is what happened from Stephanie:
"Thursday night my 30 year old son was on the balcony of his apartment. He stumbled into the railing and the railing, which was not properly secured, gave way sending Dylan falling from the 2nd floor onto the concrete and rocks below. He was rushed to the trauma unit at Sky Ridge where they stabilized him. He fractured his C5 vertebrae, broke 3 ribs and broke his back at T11 - T12 resulting in no feeling from his waist down. This has devastated him and his family. Unfortunately, he just started a new job and has no medical insurance. I will be helping him in his long recovery. It's overwhelming, the needs he will have. We will have to renovate to make our home accessible for him, buy a wheelchair, a compatible car, and untold medical bills he will be responsible for. He will not be able to work for a long time and can't return to his CDL career. We are overwhelmed and unsure what the future holds. Any funds raised will go toward helping defer these costs.
Prayers are appreciated as I still believe that God works miracles - but my miracle is that he is alive and still with us. The rest are details we can handle. The photo is of him and his sweet daughter. He will miss riding this bike. It was his pride and joy."
Thank you in advance for your gifts. The funds raised will be put to good use as Stephanie helps her son navigate this devastating, life-changing injury. Please feel free to share the link with anyone and everyone who would consider donating to this young man's recovery.
