Stephanie Mckinsey fight for her life!

Hello everyone,
I need your help!
My little sister, Stephanie, was diagnosed with Stage III Pancreatic Cancer in June of
2023. Stage III of any cancer is scary, but Pancreatic Cancer is notorious for not being
found until end stage. So, she has a chance to fight this and hopefully recover! She
began chemotherapy treatments shortly after diagnosis to help reduce the tumor as it is
inoperable at this time. The doctor hopes that with the continued rounds of chemo it will
help prevent the spread, and potentially shrink the tumor, so surgery can be completed in
a few months. However, that intense level of chemo is taking a terrible toll on her body and
energy. She has finally given me permission to tell our community of friends and family
about the battle ahead.
My sister was reluctant to share this information with anyone other than her husband
for weeks because she guards her privacy fiercely. She has always been very solidly
independent, resourceful, and compassionate. She puts others before herself;
especially her children. She has 4 beautiful children that range from age 20 down to
only seven yrs old. She also took in a 17yr old child who needed somewhere safe to
finish high school… after her diagnosis. He needed them and she never hesitated.
As the fight with cancer continues, medical expenses are adding up. Due to the many
trips to the doctor and the costs associated with her medicines, she is now feeling the
financial burden in everyday life. We have recently found out she has developed
complications with her lungs from the treatment forcing her to go on oxygen full-time,
soon. She is unable to work much, despite her desire to contribute to the finances of her
family. We all know that cancer is nothing that anyone asks for and climbing the
mountain is a hard one to face. Stephanie has made it clear she intends to fight for her
life as hard as possible. But she cannot do this alone.
I am asking for help from the bottom of my heart. My sister is young and strong.
She has an amazing family full of love, respect, and dignity. If you can give just any
amount to help with her family's everyday life expenses, gas for doctor's appointments,
and her medication. Relieving some of her stresses will help her rest and focus more
energy on this horrible disease. Our family is helping as much as we possibly can, but
we are all riding the struggle bus together. So, we are asking our community for the
assist.
Please hold my sister in kindness and healing thoughts. She is so loved and the world
needs her.
With love and gratitude,
