Stephanie Mendoza Memorial Fund

As many of you may know, my cousin, Stephanie Mendoza passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 21, 2022. Now we are raising money for Stephanie's family, to help them pay for the unexpected financial costs incurred during this time.

Stephanie wished to be cremated and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date next year.

In lieu of flowers, we are humbly requesting donations to help cover these unexpected expenses.

Obituary:

Stephanie “Steph” Noelle Mendoza, age 55, a resident of Edgewater, MD, passed peacefully at her home on December 21, 2022. Born June 10, 1967, to Marie-Noelle Griest and the late James F. Griest.

Steph earned her degree in culinary arts under the tutelage of Roland Mesnier. She then became a pastry chef, where she met her husband, Louis Mendoza. They’ve been married for 31 years. Steph also enjoyed scrapbooking, drawing, collecting precious moments and snoopy figures, and loved animals. Growing up, she was also an active member of both the swim team and bowling league. Known as an empathetic person, she always was willing to go out of her way for others. A passionate “Dance Mom,” she loved supporting her community.

In addition to her mother, Marie-Noelle, she is survived by her husband Louis and her daughters, Céline Marie-Suzanne and Allison Rachel Mendoza, and two brothers, James F. Griest Jr. and Steven Griest.
