Stephanie Mierek McLaughlin Heart Transplant Recip

My niece and goddaughter Stephanie Mierek McLaughlin is 38, a school psychologist, wife, and mother of 4. She received a heart transplant at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY on December 4, 2019. She was diagnosed with Sarcoidosis, a disease that caused irreversible damage to her heart leaving her in advanced heart failure. Stephanie needed a new heart to survive.  Thankfully a heart became available quickly due to a generous donor for which she will be forever grateful.  Stephanie continues her recovery with the support of family and friends.  Any money donated will be used for travel to Rochester and life-long medical expenses.  A planned benefit had to be cancelled due to COVID 19 so I am asking for donations to assist Stephanie and her family.
