IN MEMORIAM OF STEPHANIE “STEFF” COLDWELL

This GoFundMe is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Steff, who passed away on the 10th of August this year, following health complications that came about after a fall.

Steff lived for a lengthy part of her life with a degenerative condition called myotonic dystrophy. This causes muscular weaknesses that can affect the body as a whole. As much as Steff deteriorated as time went by, she still fought on – we as a collective of family and friends always saw her as a shieldmaiden due to the amount of strength she showed over the months and years that transgressed.

Everyone has a story to tell about Steff – and, people have many memories and photos from moments that we all shared with her. No matter where she was with her devoted husband Matty – and no matter who she shared space and time with – everyone that enjoyed her presence always felt that she brought light to their lives in many ways.

As we get set to celebrate Steff's birthday on the 6th of November, we felt it fitting that we should set something up on an annual basis to try and bring more awareness to the condition that she had to endure for so many years. We also aim to bring it more into people's understanding, so that more people are able to see what can be done to stave it off as best possible.

We love you Steff... and we're going to make sure more people around the UK (and beyond) are aware of what can be done to make lives easier.
