It was a hard decision, but I have left work again due to the stresses of life with cancer. Daily radiation treatments and chemotherapy impact my ability to work with members at the Boys & Girls club to my fullest capacity. I want to work so badly and honestly, leaving work breaks my heart... I live and breathe for the kids I work with. But I realize I need to actually focus on getting better to get better. I will return to work near when school starts mid September and radiation is over- feeling stronger than ever.
I have been on short term disability getting a fraction of what I normally make and honestly- it is beyond difficult make ends meet. I am swallowing my pride and asking for assistance from anyone who is willing to help. Speaking frankly, I'm struggling, there aren't a lot of programs to assist- I've tried. This Go Fund Me is my last resort. Anything and everything helps. I am asking for funding for truck repairs, rent, and transportation costs.
My truck needs new ball joints, which must be done asap- it is unsafe to drive. I just dropped it off at the shop and they estimated the cost around $1300. Plus I already put $300 I didn't have into other repairs for it. I've tried getting financial assistance through United Way to pay part of the bill, but was denied because the truck isn’t registered in my name. I need my vehicle to get to daily treatments.
Thank you to everyone that has helped so far and to anyone joining this battle with me. I love you all <3
