Stephanie's Warrior Battle Against Cancer

Donation protected
Many of us have watched Stephanie grow from afar, admiring her determination and accomplishments. She has faced numerous challenges, beginning with a traumatic event in her youth. Despite these obstacles, Stephanie earned dual Bachelor's degrees in International Security Studies and Native American Studies from the University of Oklahoma, followed by a Master's in Legal Studies with an emphasis on Indigenous Peoples Law from OU College of Law. She also studied at the University of La Verne Law School in California.

In November 2023, Stephanie was diagnosed with anemia. Earlier this year, her doctor recommended a colonoscopy, which revealed a large mass—cancer. Her medical team, recognizing the rarity of her case at such a young age, assured her they would do their best to fight for her.

Now, Stephanie is facing Stage 3 Colon Cancer, with the cancer having metastasized to a lymph node. While she caught it early, the journey ahead includes chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery in Oklahoma, starting in the fall of 2024, with surgery planned for early 2025. Additional treatments may continue through the summer.

Stephanie’s goal is clear: to be CANCER FREE!

At just 33, Stephanie is part of a growing trend of younger individuals facing colon cancer—a disease typically diagnosed in women around age 69.

Stephanie’s journey is a testament to resilience. Supported by friends and family, she approaches this battle with faith and grace, determined to beat cancer. Despite the challenges, her dedication to her community remains strong. Stephanie continues to serve in the non-profit sector for tribal nations, inspiring us all with her strength and commitment.

We are raising $12,000 to help Stephanie cover the costs of food, housing, and medical care during her treatment and recovery. By contributing, you can help ease her financial burden, allowing her to focus entirely on her recovery. Stephanie has been a caring, dependable friend to so many—now, it's our turn to support her in this critical time of need.

You can follow Stephanie’s journey on her Facebook Group. Thank you for any contribution you can make; every dollar counts in helping Stephanie achieve her goal of being CANCER FREE!
