Stephanie’s Stage 4 Cancer Fundraiser

I have been battling triple negative breast cancer recurrence since Summer of 2017, after being in remission for 6 years. Since 2017 I’ve had numerous recurrences, 6 surgeries, many rounds of various chemo, 35 radiation sessions, was in a clinical trial chemo for 1 1/2 years, had brain metastasis & gamma knife radiation twice, C6 & C3 bone metastasis & fractures, lung metastasis, ER visits, hospital stays and countless doctor visits, scans, blood draws and biopsies. 

Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer has NO CURE but can be treated. 

I started a new chemo Oct 2021, Xeloda daily chemo pills. Had 4 new brain mets & had gamma knife radiation again Oct 2021. Xeloda didn’t work so I’ll start Gemzar January 2022 after I spent 5 days in the hospital as the shortness of breath had gotten much worse from lung metastases. I’m now on oxygen 24/7 & can’t walk much.

The cancer has grown & spread quickly. I now have more lung metastases, existing cancers have grown.

This cancer journey has been long & hard. I’m on chemo for life. I’m fighting hard to have more time with family and friends. 


I am doing this fundraiser to help subsidize the cost of my cancer care and miscellaneous medical expenses. It is also going to help cover my “end of life/burial” expenses so my family won’t have this financial burden when the time comes. 

Any funds remaining after final expenses are finalized will be donated to the hospital where I go, specially to their radiation department and their charity care foundation, which helped me early on when no other foundation would.
