Stephen A. Capalbo Memorial Fund
Donation protected
We are raising money to help cover Stephen's funeral expenses and medical bills.
On March 14th, 2021 Stephen Andrew Capalbo, loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, and friend passed away at the age of 34. Stephen, otherwise known as Steva and/or Stevo, was born on December 29,1986 in Danbury Connecticut. He is survived by his mother, Karen Capalbo; Father, Frank Capalbo; sister Nicole Capalbo Dingle, her husband Seth, their two daughters Harper Elizabeth and Olivia “Vivi” Kathryn; brother Michael “Mikey” Angelo Capalbo and too many aunts, uncles and cousins to count. The family moved to Pawleys Island, SC in 1992.
Stephen was (annoyingly) good at everything he did; baseball, surfing, art, golf, gardening, frisbee golf, baking, canning, hot sauce making... If he set his mind to it, he mastered it. He loved to travel and lived in Costa Rica and California for a time. He had a quiet depth, a kind and gentle soul and when he loved, he loved fiercely. He was selective with his words, had a dry sense of humor, and was fluent in sarcasm. He possessed a still kindness that radiated and showed in all he did. He was simple in his complexity and happiest in his garden with his niece Harper and on the disc golf course with his “club”.
At family gatherings and parties, you could always find Stephen on the floor playing with the kids and the animals. He never met a food he didn’t like (except that one time that he decided to cut back on meat) and always left Sunday family dinners with a “to-go” bag. He worked for the family business with his Dad, brother and sister, we aren’t sure if he thought it was a good thing or not, but we felt pretty lucky to see him every day. Most importantly, he was so loved and there will not be a day that goes by that he won’t be missed.
