Stephen's Medical Bills

On July 1, 2016, Stephen was in a serious, one car accident while traveling at normal interstate highway speeds on his way to work.  He suffered multiple injuries, including a traumatic brain injury which required emergency surgery.  He spent 20 days in a pediatric intensive care unit, and he is currently in an inpatient rehabilitation program for traumatic brain injury.  Stephen is strong and athletic and is a child of God.  We anticipate at least two more surgeries as he continues the recovery process.  Thus far, his recovery has been nothing short of miraculous!

Please join us as we ask God for a complete restoration of Stephen's health and abilities.  Also, please remember our family as we walk through this difficult time.  Pray that we will come together as a family and encourage each other through the challenges ahead.  We appreciate your generous giving as one way to reach out and show love and care to our family during this time of need.

With regard to our financial situation, we have Medi-Share for our health plan, and we have a $10,000 family deductible.  Since our health plan year ends August 31st, and the deductible resets at that time, we anticipate paying two deductibles, or $20,000, toward healthcare costs specifically related to this event. 

While the GoFundMe website makes it easy to give, it also takes approximately 8% from every gift; so if you want to give a financial gift directly to us instead, you may.  We will combine all money given and report in this campaign. Any money given to us personally for medical bills will be posted as an annonymous offline donation.  Your financial gift will probably not be tax deductible.
