Stephen Darby Surfer Flag

Ourselves and The NWK Kollective are raising funds to purchase a giant flag to surf in the KOP at Valley Parade as a tribute to City favourite and legend Stephen Darby.

Stephen played for city from 2012/2017 under Phil Parkinson and captained city for two seasons in league one. He embodied everything you'd want in a player, passion, fight & desire. He was known for putting his body on the line for goal line clearances, and from recent memory no one comes close to the amount he miraculously managed to clear off the line. He is a hero both on and off the field and will forever be loved at Bradford city.

Stephen unfortunately was diagnosed with MND in 2018 which forced him to retire from the professional game. Since then he has been a central figure in the Darby Rimmer foundation raising funds to try and find a cure for this horrendous disease.

We want to show him how much he means to us at Bradford city and hopefully the display can help put MND at the forefront of people's minds and go towards raising more funds for the fantastic charity.
