Stephen Piggott (Piggo)

This time last week our friend, family man and husband Stephen Piggott (Piggo) sadly passed away.

Roughly 18 months ago, Piggo was diagnosed with metastatic kidney cancer, Piggos treatment was going as well as it could and he believed he wasn’t of any indication of losing his life so soon as all his test were positive and in December time last year was the best Piggo had felt in a while.

Piggo was the goal keeper coach for West Didsbury & Chorlton FC after spending 15 years with Cheadle Town FC before hand, he was with me in the dug out last Tuesday night at our match and wasn’t feeling too well but never for a second did he or we believe it would lead to losing his life a week later.

Piggo and his wife Lisa quite recently moved into their forever home in Denton, Manchester.

Due to Piggo having cancer, he was unable to take out a life insurance policy what would have helped Lisa financially with the mortgage if anything was to happen to Piggo.

Piggo and Lisa shared the portion of the bills but now Lisa is going to struggle financially for a little while, while she is trying to piece herself back together after a such a tragic loss of losing her husband.

We would like to raise some money to give to Piggos wife Lisa to help her get by in this devastating time.

Piggo was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, he would go above and beyond and he will be missed dearly.

We are still in shock after losing him last week as it wasn’t expected.

Piggo was loved and respected by many people, so all I ask if you can, let’s all show how much he meant to us all by helping his wife Lisa not go through this on her own.

Piggos funeral will be the week commencing 10th of March but we will confirm an exact date in due course.
