Update: Its extremely difficult, and with a heavy heart that I write this. I’ve honestly been trying to find the words, and I can’t seem to produce them. I felt like if I didn’t say it, it wouldn’t be reality. Stephen “Stebo” Torres made his transition from the physical, to the spiritual realm to be with the ancestors on the morning of Friday, September 16. He has always been a light in everyone’s life, he lived his life as a true embodiment of love. Always laughing, dancing, giving, sharing and loving. If you know him, then I guarantee you still say one of his infamous catch phrases. “Im just happy to be here” was definitely always his answer to how he was doing, even when he didn’t feel his best. The world feels so different and this time is extremely difficult but I know you are free and at peace now. We love you so much Stephen and honor your life and time that we were blessed to have with you on this earth. I dont take any of it for granted. Every smile, every laugh, everytime we woke up and had each other to count on, every single memory. I know that you are still with us in spirit and heart and It just doesn’t feel fair to write this, but I do believe that to be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. We love you so much Stephen, thank you for it all, especially for making me a mother to these beautiful humans we created together.
