Stephen's fundraiser for Yuwa

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Yuwa, a charity I co-founded with three high school friends in 2009. Yuwa uses soccer and education to help girls take their futures into their own hands. Located in the heartland of rural India, our mission is to enable at-risk girls to reach their full potential, developing critical and creative thinking skills, and becoming compassionate, empowered leaders in their communities.

Yuwa’s programmatic depth results in life-changing impact for each participant, enabling them to break out of the cycle of poverty—permanently. Our graduates have escaped poverty, violence and discrimination and have been accepted on full scholarships to Harvard, Middlebury, Trinity College, Mondragon University in Spain and some of the best universities in India.

Yuwa won the 2019 Laureus Global Sport for Good Award, joining other Laureus winners Tiger Woods, Lindsey Vonn, Simone Biles, Novak Djokovic and Naomi Osaka.
