Kilimanjaro Climb for SickKids & Lauralynn
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Stephen Brown - I'm from Dublin, but currently live in Toronto. On January 6th 2024, I will start my ascent up Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest freestanding mountain on earth (5,895 meters/19,340 feet), to raise funds for The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto & LauraLynn Children's Hospice in Dublin.
This will be my first time climbing any mountain, so it will definitely be a huge challenge. I've already donated $1,000 of my own money, but I would greatly appreciate your contribution to help reach my goal. When you donate, your gift will help these charities to fund care services for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. Even a $1 donation will go a long way.
Why I am attempting to Climb Mt.Kilimanjaro
1) In memory of my friend, Ian McKeever, who sadly passed away on Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2013. 11 years ago, I made a promise to Ian that I would climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and I want to fulfill this. Ian was a great advocate of raising funds for charities and taught me the importance of giving back to those in need.
2) To raise much needed funds for SickKids in Toronto and LauraLynn Children's Hospice in Dublin. 100% of funds raised will go to these two charities.
*Please note that all donations are in Canadian dollars. Thank you for your support, I really appreciate it!
**No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to my GoFundMe.** This has been advised by GoFundMe.
