Stepping into Purpose: Help Me Pursue an MSc in Human Rights
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Florence Jah, and I’m reaching out for your support to take the next step in my lifelong mission of empowering children to thrive in the love and purpose that God has for them.
I have been accepted into the MSc Human Rights program at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) and need to raise £6,000 by April 30, 2025, as a tuition deposit for securing my Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS), which will allow me to apply for an extended student visa and officially enrol.
Why This Matters?
Since 2016, I have worked with children both privileged and underprivileged, supporting their educational journey and well-being through African Children Rejoice (ACRe), a vision I received and have embarked on. Through ACRe, we've provided school materials, engaging play-based learning experiences, mentored teenagers to prevent early dropouts through monthly community outreaches, and nurtured talents with projects like the 100 voices of hope, and Gambia Christian Children's Choir (GCCC).
I have also worked on advocacy projects with "Theirworld" as an ambassador, contributing to campaigns addressing the global education crisis. Presently, I am undergoing training with Home-Start Aberdeen to volunteer as a home visitor, where I will visit families with children in their homes, providing support in their journey.
Through these experiences, I have seen that charity alone is not enough, but lasting change happens when the right policies and human rights are upheld and implemented by policy makers. That’s why I am committed to gaining the expertise needed to make a real difference.
How You Can Help.
As an international student currently studying Early Childcare and Education at North East Scotland College, I have been limited to 10 hours of work per week, which has made it difficult to save substantially toward my educational pursuit. The transition to a Master’s program will increase my work allowance to 20 hours per week, allowing me to work alongside my studies to pay off the rest of my tuition (£10,200) in instalments once my visa is issued.
I am asking for any amount you can give, and if you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign. Every little bit of support brings me closer to this opportunity to continue my mission of transforming the lives of children through education, advocacy, policy reform and social justice in Africa and beyond.
My prayer for you is that as you contribute towards this journey, a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap (Proverbs 19:17)

Thank you for believing in this journey. Your generosity means the world to me, and to the many children and families I will continue to serve.
