CRITICAL UPDATE 9/5/17: TARA FELL OUT OF HER WHEELCHAIR AND BROKE HER NECK. SHE IS AT HEALTHSOUTH RIOSA REHABILITATION NOW.
Tara Kaye Wayman is my niece. She broke her back july 4, leaving her at least temporarily paralyzed and some nerve damage, during a July 4 celebration at Medina Lake near Boerne, Texas.
Tara required major back surgery and is facing months of extensive occupational and physical therapy, She is in a wheelchair now, probably long-term, with numbness and very little use of her legs, while re-building the strength in both arms.
Her husband is managing a 5-month old son, as well as a quite lively 5-year old son.

Tara has taken a leave of absence from a full-time job. Her family is facing many emotional and financial burdens. We need help with the baby and her 5-year old, rides to therapy, medicine, medical equipment, housing, and the bills that will accompany her now "new normal"
