Feed and sterilize rescue cats

Donation protected
I live in a province in Ecuador where there are no animal shelters. Kittens are routinely dumped in the trash after birth or thrown into the street in a plastic bag and left to die.

Thus, my personal home has become an animal sanctuary for rescued unwanted cats and kittens. After I became widowed in 2013, neighbors began dropping off boxes of kittens at my doorstep after they noticed me feeding the hungry ferals. Soon local expats asked me to take in unwanted kittens or rescued strays. Now my cat occupancy rate has soared to over fifty cats.

I sterilize as many as I can afford to and provide a healthy diet to all. Their litter, consisting of wood shavings, is changed daily. I maintain the cat sanctuary entirely at my expense out of my Social Security check and the interest from my savings. However, much of my income pays for animal welfare and I can no longer make ends meet on my own.

I am not a crazy cat lady or a hoarder. I have made a choice to sacrifice my personal home so the cats can live out their lives in a safe environment where they can be peaceful and treated with respect.

Since we have no animal shelter here, I am the animal shelter for cats. Now I need help. Please consider supporting my cat rescue efforts.
