Steve Adams Funeral Fund

I'm Lewis Bailey and I'm trying to raise enough money for a headstone for my friend Steve Adams. His brother Jeff asked if I could set up this GoFundMe and of course I said yes. Steve died in a car crash in January of 2023 in Panama City Florida. It was sudden and tragic. Steve had no insurance for funeral expenses so this fundraiser is to source enough money to provide a decent headstone for Steve's final resting place right next to his beloved granny at Pine Memorial Cemetery.

Steve was my best friend from 7th grade. We taught each other Beatles tunes and learned to sing harmony together sitting on the couch at his granny's house in Blountstown. We discovered DEVO on Saturday Night Live while hanging out on the telephone as best friends did. We shared my first apartment together fresh out of high school.

When I limped back to Panama City from Athens Georgia with a bum knee, he let me crash on his couch until I got better. We formed our band The Surf Kings together and finally made our 7th grade dreams come true. I miss him and wasn't able to attend his funeral, but promised his brothers I'd do what could to help out. Well, he needs a decent headstone and that's what I'm trying to raise money for.
