Steve and his kidney failure, amputee journey.

Hi my name is Taylor, and I would like to raise some money to help support my stepdad Steve for when he comes home from hospital,I’m fundraising to help cover Steve’s family essentials such as house hold bills and daily living and any home improvements he now needs Steve was diagnosed with kidney failure in 2023 and from then life has been down hill, with only having 4% kidney function he’s had to have emergency dialysis to keep him alive and having to have blood tests every week and constantly feeling unwell, out of breath and even struggling to play with his grandchildren which he loves doing .throughout this journey Steve has had loads of step backs and each time he has battled his way through. Steve was taken into hospital as his oxygen levels were so low we thought we was going to loose him and from this hospital stay He’s now in hospital having dialysis 3/4 days a week and in hospital he caught an infection in his foot which has caused him to have 4 toes removed which has now made a big difference in his day to day life and something new he has to now adapt to. Steve was in hospital for 5 weeks and finally come home, but things haven’t gotten better for him as he’s just found out that his wound isn’t healing and is now in a high chance of loosing from below the knee. Which we are all so nervous about. As you all know Steve is the first to help anyone and is always their for support and works all the hours he can to support his family, but due to having kidney failure and loss of 4 toes he isn’t going to be able to work for a while and money is tight. I have chosen to raise money for Steve as I know he would do the same for anyone else in his position and I want him to come home and have the rest he needs and not be worrying about money.

thank you to everyone who has helped Steve so far This isn’t something me and my family would normally do but after asking for help from the government and being denied any help apart from ssp this seems like the only option left we have had so many messages asking us to make a go fund me a page or a way to help so we think this might work x
