Steve and Kelly Love

This is a prayerful request to assist Steve and Kelly Love to pay unreimbursed medical bills for Kelly and some living expenses for Steve and Kelly.

Kelly’s diagnosis is hydrocephalus and secondary progression MS.

She has daily symptoms ranging from incontinence, both urinary and bowel, seizures, spasms and tremors, as well. Her walking and balance are difficult at best. She has cognitive impairment which affects her memory and her ability to perform daily tasks.

She does not quality for disability benefits. SSI and Medicaid have not been approved for Kelly. Steve does not know when or if they will be approved. Spousal benefits have been denied.

Steve and Kelly have lived in Flint/Bullard for 15 years. Steve has been out of work since August 2023 because he is the sole caretaker of Kelly. She was recently furthered diagnosed with hydrocephalus and secondary progression MS. She was diagnosed with hydrocephalus in August 2016 and had VP shunt surgery in October 2016. In February 2022, she had a mild stroke and spent 7 months in a rehabilitation center and then went back into the hospital when she was diagnosed with progression MS. Both hydrocephalus and MS have no cure, only management.

On a personal note, Steve is a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps, a paratrooper from 1990-1995 and is a Gulf war veteran serving in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm. After coming home, Steve and Kelly were married in August 2001 and have one son who is on active military duty at this time.
