Steve Cannon is an inspiration to many people. He was a loving husband to Susan for 50 years, he was a supportive father to Stephanie and Scott, and he was the best Grandpa ever to Trevor, Samantha & Fisher. He was also a friend to those that knew him; his neighbors, his car club members and to the Safeco family that he dedicated 30 years of his life to. He loved with all his heart and always put people first.
In these crazy times when we cannot get together to celebrate him, we want to make sure that he is remembered. We are hoping that you can help contribute to his memory. So many amazing people have reached out and asked how they can help...….we have come up with an idea!
As many people know he has always loved the sport of baseball. My dad watched Scott play throughout his life which included 4 years at Tigard High School and then Linfield College.
My son Trevor then found a love for the sport, and my dad never missed a game or opportunity to help to him. Dad watched him through youth to high school and into this first year of college before this season was cancelled.
His youngest Grandson, Fisher, has now been bitten by the baseball bug and my Dad had the chance to see the start of what he will contribute to the sport.
We are asking for your help to fundraise in his memory in order to give back to Youth Baseball. We want to donate 100% of the funds raised to some form of help for the program and sport. That may be in the form of scholarships for future college players, equipment needed to support young athletes, or facility needs as Tigard High School gets a face lift.
My Dad was positive, motivating, inspiring, hard working and focused on people. He gave back or helped out whenever he could and we cannot think of a better way to make sure he is not forgotten. Please help support us, and him. Whatever you can give is appreciated more than you know.
