Steve posted on Nextdoor: To the gentleman who complained about my red bus on Valley Rd and had the police make me move it. Then had an ordinance violation issued because it was behind my sister's house. Thank you for your neighborly concern.
I am an unemployable Marine Veteran, 19 months out from a botched suicide attempt and under the care of the Lancaster VA and my sister. I do spend a lot of time out doors or in my bus for reasons that you wouldn't comprehend. I apologize that I have bothered you and thank you for your due diligence as a neighbor citing my sister's and several other neighbors for ordinance violations.
As my sister is in the process of desperately meeting the code, getting permits and spending money she doesn't have I will move on, to homelessness if I must as I am sure my little red bus will forever be in violation of something to you.
I am proud to have defended your right to be you.
The Millersville Nextdoor members responded with kind words. Can we now respond with a few dollars of support. I've helped many in our community while owning Brereton Manor Personal Care Home. I'm now retired and willing to help Steve get his life back on track. I often think but for the grace of God; there go I. Any of us could be facing adversity as Steve is. Just a little assistance from many is all that's needed to affect change He is unable to make the changes needed himself. I can't help him alone but together we can. Please donate.
