Steve & Debbie Doyle Emergency Relief Fund

Wonderful news! Debbie got to come and she will now continue her rehab at a local physical therapy clinic while sleeping in her own bed each night! The family is so thankful for answered prayers as well as the continued prayers and support from everyone. The bills are now coming in and your help has allowed them some breathing room along this difficult journey, and there will be plenty more bills on the way. UPDATE June 9, 2022:
The prayers of so many have been heard and answered, and Debbie has not only moved from Vanderbilt to SKY Rehab Center in Bowling Green, KY, but her care team is also hopeful that she will return home as soon as this weekend! The Doyle family is eternally grateful for your generosity, but most of all, your prayers, kind words, and encouragement. The bills will be stacking up soon and we appreciate your continued support. The Doyle’s may not be my blood family, but they are my family. And if you’re reading this, there’s a good chance you feel the same way. Many people have asked what they can do to help, and here is that opportunity.

 

Debbie Doyle, age 66, suffered a head injury on Friday, May 20, 2022 when she fell at her home. This injury has resulted in two major brain surgeries in three days. She is currently in the Critical Care Unit at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, TN.

 

Debbie has been a wife to Steve for the past 50 years, who pastors Friendship United Baptist Church in Allen County, KY and is an assistant pastor at Longfield United Baptist Church in Louisville, KY. Steve also works as a part time court security officer in the Edmonson County Courthouse. Steve will be off work for an extended period of time while he helps care for Debbie in Nashville, which is an hour-and-a half drive from his home.

 

Debbie, who is also a mother of three grown sons and a "Mimi" to 8 grandchildren also operates a small boutique out of her home in Chalybeate Springs, KY, called "Mimi's Gift Gallery." The shop will remain closed until she is able to return to work, which is also expected to be an extended amount of time.

 

While neither Steve nor Debbie have ever asked for money, their friends and family are asking for help on their behalf as they try to make it through this difficult time. It's too soon to tell what the long term effects will be but Debbie is looking at a long road to recovery and will likely need extended rehabilitation once she begins to get back on her feet.

 

This family is a family of faith and they are certain that God's mercy, through the prayers of His people, have helped them make it this far. Steve has helped hundreds, if not thousands of people through his preaching and counseling over the past 44 years. We are now asking that you please help them in their time of need.

 

The funding will go to support medical bills not covered by insurance, to help them with living expenses while they are off work, and traveling and meal expenses while they see to Debbie's care.

 

Most of all, the family requests your prayers and they have seen miracles happen all down through their lives.
