Steve Grabowski's Expenses & Medical Bills
Donation protected
Dear Friends & Family,
It has come to the point that I need some help in raising funds for my outstanding medical bill's that continues to pile up.
As many of you know, over the past few years, I’ve experienced ongoing blood clots, permanent kidney damage and a series of strokes. Through this time, I’ve bounced around to several doctors until one was finally able to provide a definitive diagnosis. I’ve been diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS). APS is an autoimmune condition where the immune system, which usually protects the body from infection and illness, attacks healthy tissue by mistake.
I’ve been in and out of the hospital with a few prolonged stays which equate to more than 2-months over the last two years. Every 3-weeks for potentially the rest of my life, I have chemo therapy treatments to keep this disease from progressing, causing kidney failure, and other life-threatening issues. Having access to these therapies will not only extend my life, but will also give me hope, pain-relief, and a much better quality of life.
There is no definitive timetable on my recovery as there is no cure for APS. As you can imagine, I’ve incurred significant expenses and medical bills, well over $300,000, and during this process and I’ve been unable to work. My work disability claim is pending, and it may take between 12 to 24 months for approval.
Needless to say, any donations towards my recovery are so greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, prayers and good vibes are just as important!
The outpouring of love and encouragement has been overwhelmingly touching and instrumental in aiding my battle to get as healthy as possible!
Thank you,
Steve Grabowski
