Steve LeFevre gets a kidney!!!

Steve Lefevre has spent the last year (and first bits of retirement) in dialysis, much to his and Michelle's shock.
What should have been this vivacious couple's fun adventures into Pacific Northwest life, and all it offers, ended up being hours upon hours in a hospital or dialysis center. So it's been a rough year, but these two champs are all smiles still. Having gotten on a donor list early on, they were hopeful, but layer in the complications of COVID and healthcare... it's been slow and arduous.
Even though Steve had family willing to test for the match, the process has been greatly slowed, and extended the time and expenses expected of waiting for an organ donation.
We are happy to announce that this past week Steve's amazing niece has offered to be his Kidney Donor (yep this superhero wears a gorgeous cape ) and matched, and the plans for their surgeries are underway.
As you can imagine, we all have expectations financially upon retirement, and though they have insurance, what's shocking is what's left uncovered. It's taken a huge toll financially to navigate this kind of prolonged health crisis during COVID.
I know my produce people and Steve & Michelle's friends and family would love to help!
