Steve Mobley Benefit
Donation protected
Steve was born and raised in the Ottawa/Serena area. After graduating high school, Steve joined the Marines. Eventually Steve moved to the Peru area and married the love of his life, Brenda Mobley. In 2013 they found their dream house in the rural Princeton area. With that move Steve left his job as the store manager of the Peru Napa Store and started Brush Kreek Trucking, a small 3-unit trucking company. The company, with Steve at the helm, has developed a strong reputation of reliable, professional drivers that get the job done, and done right.
Steve's Cancer journey started in 2021 with a few missed diagnoses of what, in 2022 was diagnosed as Stage 3 Colon Cancer. He fought and was able to say after months of treatment that he was cancer free. Unfortunately, after four short months, he had to hear again what no one ever wants to hear, the cancer was back and spread. Steve has been given a Stage 4, Terminal diagnosis with the cancer having spread to multiple areas of his abdomen, with no treatment options; Steve was given 6 months to live. Fortunately, he is working with his oncologist and fighting for his life with another round of chemo followed by a relatively new procedure called the HIPEC, hopefully this summer. This very expensive procedure, out of state, could potentially add several quality years of life for Steve and Brenda to enjoy their beautiful life they have created together after a lot of hard work and sacrifices over the years.
We are having this benefit in the hopes of helping the Mobley family with the increasing medical expenses. As a small business owner, it is quite devasting having to take all the time off to fight this battle. Steve worked as much as he could for the first round of chemo but is currently unable to work with this round. We are asking for help from anyone that is willing to join in our fight with Steve to help his family survive this horrible stage of their life together.
