Steve Montminy - beloved husband, father & Pop

Stephen (Steve) Montminy died unexpectedly on September 7, 2023, in a tragic accident on Mount Desert Island at the age of 65. His family, the community, and all who knew him are deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. To know Steve was to love him, and people across the world in countries near and far are still reeling from the tragic news.

To honor Steve and his incredible commitment to his community, we are pursuing an "installation" memorial on the island of Mount Desert, where he lived and worked for the last 20+ years. The exact architecture is still to be confirmed, but it will be an item likely connected to water to honor his decades of work with the water district (for example, a fountain). The donaton/creation will be made in his name in an effort to further beautify his community.

Please know that any money you choose to share will be deeply appreciated and used to honor Steve in the best way possible - creating a spot that leaves visitors happier than when they arrived - just as Steve did for all those that had the chance to meet him.
