Steve Ostrander cancer medical & living expenses

Hi! I am Lorin Hicks. A few of you already know, but my dad, Steve Ostrander, was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. It was very scary for a while but he qualified to have surgery to remove his prostate. During his 6 hour surgery, the doctor noticed there was a little more damage than previously expected. They won’t have answers for a little while but he may have to also undergo radiation pending results.

My dad is self employed and always has been. He works before the sun is up until after it is down, 7 days a week, plus holidays. He is 100% a workaholic, but it’s because he knows he has to work to make money.

With his extensive surgery and possible radiation, he is really needing to give himself time to heal and fully recover, however, the stress of not being able to work to make any money is killing him.

His wife, Barb, has a fractured hip and also needs to heal properly, but she has been picking up odd and end jobs just to try and make ends meet.

They also do not have the best insurance and it’s being cancelled at the end of the year so the medical bills will just keep accumulating.

My dad may be mad and embarrassed that I am making this, but he is drowning in stress over their financial struggles they are about to face even more than they already are and we really want to limit stress as much as we can right now so he can focus on his health.

Please, if you can, help my dad be able to heal properly without jumping back into work too soon. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Please also share this if possible!
