On Saturday, July 29th, Heathers dad, your friend and coach, Steve, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home. I know this leaves so many people heartbroken and confused as it does us as well. We don’t have much to share as we’re still awaiting further information. All we know as of now is that he passed at home and of natural causes.

His undying passion and dedication for softball has left an eternal imprint on our hearts. Steve spent most of his free time on a softball field with his favorite ladies, Heather and BrookeLynn. He was their #1 fan and biggest supporter, he coached and cheered on Heather from tee-ball at 3 years old to the mound in College and you could surely catch him in the stands as she played through adulthood. BrookeLynn and her grandpa, “Papa Brookie” shared a very special bond and were inseparable, she was most certainly the apple of his eye. They shared so many special moments together on and off the field and a piece of him lives on forever in her talent. As well as the 30+ young women he helped get recruited into Colleges! The softball community will always remember Coach Steve for his dedication, passion and huge personality!

Aside from his love for his girls and the game, Steve was a true hero. He served our country as an 82nd Airborne Paratrooper in the US Army and wore that as a badge of honor. In his younger years he also did work as a stunt man, if you know him you know that’s not hard to believe! He had a fire inside of him and the question was never who was going to let him, but who was going to stop him? He’s left quite a legacy behind and we will continue to honor his memory. Please share your pictures and stories of him freely!

Heather has a lot of loose-ends to tie up and considering this was very sudden she needs our help to prepare arrangements for her father. Steve was a Veteran and we are working on preparing services that will honor his service to our country. Any additional funds raised will be set aside to help Heather, BrookeLynn and Cali, as Steve was a major contributor in their every day life.

We thank you for the outpouring of love and support in this extremely difficult chapter. If you can’t donate, a prayer or a share will be equally appreciated.
