Steve Siesser - "It's my way or the highway"

Donation protected
Steven Siesser, 61, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2022, at his home after a long fight with cancer. Steve was given a year to live almost sixteen years ago when he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Even though a long battle with cancer took him away, Steve will always be remembered as a good son, dad, husband & arborist.

Steve was born in Lynwood, California, on November 6th, 1961. He moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, in 1997 to reunite his family with his wife, Sandra Siesser. Steve was a skilled Arborist who worked through several large companies in various positions in California and Colorado. After surviving cancer, he began a new career. One far less physically demanding but brought the same passion, learning the art of dog grooming/bathing. Steve was a unique individual, very strong minded & continuously operated with an “it’s my way or the highway” attitude.

If you asked Steve, his greatest accomplishment wasn’t surviving cancer, being a skilled worker, a great family member or a friend. It was being a proud Harley owner at one time. Steve had a true passion for motorcycles his entire life. Dirt, street, it didn’t matter. If it had two wheels, he was in. Unfortunately, health problems slowed the development of his cycling career over the years, and he never was able to hold on to his toys very long. Selling them to pay off bills that accumulated.

Steve is survived by his wife, Sandra. He leaves behind his daughter Cari, son Chad, granddaughter Nikki & several nieces and extended family members that will miss him dearly.

Because Steve was sick for so many years, he couldn't build the lifestyle he wanted for himself and Sandra. He was often turned down by life insurance companies, denied benefits and help was consistently declined. But, he always found a way, barely making it through each month, living paycheck to paycheck. For those reasons, Sandra is left behind with very little to survive on, so anything helps.
