Steve Smart's tribute, memorial, fundraiser
Donation protected
Many of you will now know that sadly, my husband Steve tragically passed away on 7th July 2022, after a sudden cardiac arrest.
During the week he was ill, two organisations were there trying to save his life and supporting us as a family. Firstly, there was Thames Valley Air Ambulance, who resuscitated him and promptly got him to the hospital. He then spent a week in the Intensive Care Unit at Wexham Park Hospital.
They did everything they could to try and save his life with many ups and downs over the days. However, they also supported us as a family, with myself not being able to go and visit due to having Covid. They were supportive of Steve's daughters, Amy and Olivia, who were present.
With this in mind, as a family, we would like to raise some money for Thames Valley Air Ambulance and ICU at Wexham Park Hospital.
However, Steve lived in Yorkshire and was an avid cyclist. As a cyclist, he knew many of his favourite places to ride were in the middle of nowhere. As such, it is an unwritten rule that you don't walk past an air ambulance collection box without popping something in! So the third charity we would like as a family to raise money for is the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
As we want any money raised to go to three different locations, we felt having one link for people to donate easiest, then we as a family can divide any funds raised between our selected charities.
Please consider supporting us in lieu of flowers at his funeral. Thank you.
