Cremation Fund for Steve Waddell

Thank you all so much for your love and support. We have met our goal to be able to provide services for Steve. Calling hours will be on Wednesday 5/31/23 from 5-7pm at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home on 21st Street in Newark.

I am Shannon Finder, a long-time friend and unofficial family member of the Waddell’s and Armstrong’s.

This past week, my sweet friend, Steven Waddell, went in for a routine hernia surgery and was released that day from a local hospital. He had increasing pain overnight and was admitted to try to figure out what was happening. Just over 24 hours later, his siblings had to make the difficult choice to remove him from life support. He passed quickly, surrounded by his family.

We are all shocked and devastated by Steve’s early and unexpected passing. His family was not prepared for the high cost of an autopsy and funeral expenses. We would love to give Steve the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory, and say our last goodbyes. We also would like to understand what went so terribly wrong in his body to lead to this quick and jarring outcome.

Steve was a vibrant and fun-loving person. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone he met. He loved his Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, but most of all, he loved his dog Sally and his friends at Massey’s Pizza. Steve made you laugh, he was there anytime you needed anything, and he was a truly loving and giving person.

Please help Steve’s family give him the goodbye that he deserves. Funds will be used for private autopsy, cremation, calling hours, funeral and celebration of life. Any help
