Steve & Nico Fire Recovery Fund

My name is Rebecca Nicholas and my husband and I are raising money for our dear friends Steve Salamon, Nico Fundark and their one month old baby, Stanley.  On March 11, 2016 this family lost everything in an apartment fire.  While Steve was as work, Nico was home feeding their newborn baby, when all of a sudden the door to their apartment exploded open, and Nico could smell smoke and hear screaming. She jumped up and ran out of the apartment with their little baby. With nothing more than the clothes on their backs, and as fast as she could, Nico we ran to a neighboring business and told them to call 911.  Within minutes, the third floor, where Steve and Nico live, was engulfed in smoke and fire. Luckily, everyone got out, and Nico and baby Stanley are safe.  However this family lost all their possessions.  All of their clothes, furniture, and baby items were lost in the fire.  Steve and Nico are hard working, good people, that would do anything for anyone, and they are attentive, loving parents. We would like to raise money for them to pay for a few months of rent while they get back on their feet, and replace clothing for all three family members, as well as their furniture.  They also need to replace many baby items such as a pack and play, a car seat, a high chair, baby clothes, diaper bag, diapers, wipes, and formula, just to name a few.  There are many personal, sentimental items that they will never get back, but at least we can give them the essentials.
