Steve's Healing and Recovery
Donation protected
On Thursday, July 20th, my dad Steve Barelski, had a right hemispheric stroke. This in turn effected the entire left side of his body. You might know my dad is left-handed(hes very proud lol), not being able to use that arm has him lost. He took his first step in physical therapy today though. He was so happy he cried. Said it feels like being a baby again but progress is progress. He's so grateful for the care he is currently receiving. However, due to insurance issues, my dad will only be eligible to stay at this great facility for a few weeks when it looks like he could really use a month or two. After that, he will go to a skilled nursing facility(basically one step down in therapy intensity). We're trying to stay as positive as possible in this situation. The tremendous support, love, and prayers he has received from friends and family means everything to him. Thank you so much for keeping him in your thoughts. Steve has touched many lives. He gives all of himself to everyone. You need a new car, he'll find one. You need your taxes done, he's got a guy. He understands that no one ever went broke from helping people out. Well, this is our chance to help Steve now. Seeing doctors, neurologists, nurses, and being introduced to new medicine/therapy, is not the cheapest. Your donations will help pay off these bills and help make sure Steve gets the best care possible for a speedy recovery!
