Update on Steve's Health: I have a lung disease called IPF : Idiopdathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. After I was denied transplant by the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville in January of 2015, I continue to beat the "odds" and keep on living. Thank you Jesus! On the medical front: in October of 2014, the FDA approved a drug called Esbriet (Perfinidone). This medication is not by any means a cure for the disease, but it has shown on average to reduce the spread of the fibrosis in a patient's lungs by up to 15% per year. I am at the 40% function capacity and still declining slowly while using more oxygen than before. I also have lost 17 pounds over the summer. The bad news is this: the specialty pharmacies that were able to help in the financial assistance with the cost of this medication is now being denied. The medication costs are nearly $100,000 annually. I have been taking the medication faithfully up until now, but with the lack of assistance, I will have to stop.
If you can help; I am seeking to raise the co-pay amounts that right now total almost $10,000. If I am able to come up with the funds, I would be able to continue to take the medication.
"For the life of every living thing is in His hand, and the breath of every human being." Job 12:10.
Thank you for whatever support you can offer here, and We pray God will bless you in all you do in life!
Keep Looking UP 2 Him!
