STEVEN ALMONTE’S MEDICAL CRISIS
Donation protected
UPDATE FROM DIANA:
So many ask so often, how he’s doing and how we are all doing, and we’ll never be able to thank everyone enough.
He continues to fight, as do we everyday. He’s made some big strides. Earlier this week he was released from St. Francis, I’ll add that everyone there was a god send. Steven is now in a nursing home receiving long term care. We are still praying every second of every day that he we can hear his beautiful voice and laugh, and know in our hearts, that’s the next stride.
As a family we’re staying as strong as we can, and with that comes good days and bad days. We are each doing this at our own pace. Thankfully we are always there to pick each other back up when one falls.
Thank you and please continue to send prayers.

April 15th started as a regular Monday for Steven and the Almonte family. Steven had his coffee with parents, Criselda and Felix and helped his fiancé, Raysa get the kids ready for daycare before heading out to work. They all kissed and left for their day. Steven, as usual, went to the gym after his work day when the unimaginable happened. Steven, 34 years old, the baby brother of Cristobal, Maritza, William and Diana, and the father of Kaylee 14, Camila 5, and Camilo 2, suffered cardiac arrest at the gym. Luckily, there was an EMT at the gym who jumped into action within moments. Steven has been hospitalized in the cardiac ICU at St Francis Heart Hospital. The staff there are doing all they can to help Steven, however he has been diagnosed with Severe Anoxic Brain Injury. We are unsure at the moment what the future will hold but we are praying for a miracle. As you can imagine, bills and medical expenses will continue to accrue. Any help you can donate to his family is truly appreciated. No amount is too small.
Please continue to send your prayers for Steven and the Almonte family.
