Attempted Murder of Steven Fund

There are no words. Steven was savagely beaten almost to death by an EX-Marine (we will not give the suspect ANY notoriety by naming him) for no other reason than being a gay man and best friends with a young woman the suspect has an affinity for. In the early morning hours of January 21, 2017 Steven and the suspect returned to the address where the evening had began.
Once inside, a brutal beating resulting in a severely broken nose, broken orbital socket, sprained abdominal wall, countless bruises, scrapes, knots and cuts. That doesn't even take into account his mental injury of being a victim of this senseless crime.
Below you can see what was thought to be scrape marks from where Steven appears to have been dragged. Turns out it is a stomp mark from a boot. Steven does not have even one defensive wound meaning he was unconscious and/or completely helpless during this attack!

By the grace of God Steven regained consciousness briefly while it is believed that the suspect retrieved a deadly weapon. He escaped out the back door and hid until he was thankfully able to get to the hospital.
CAUTION-DISTURBING IMAGE BELOW= The scene looked as though someone had been murdered; one image below.

Steven is missing work. His medical expenses have already overwhelmed him and he is very concerned about paying his medical bills and regular bills during his extended recovery.
The Larimer County District Attorneys Office announced that they will be amending the original charges and charging Vincent Ramirez with Criminal Attempt Murder. The DA stated that they do not have enough to charge this as a hate crime. Our family is obviously concerned about both Steven and "the young lady" but are very happy the DA saw what this act truly was; an ATTEMPT to MURDER Steven.
We know hard times are upon most, but we ask that you please donate ANYTHING at all and that you share this.
If you can't do either then please pray for him and our family as we try to understand this tragedy and why Ramirez tried to take Steven from us. Thank you and God bless!
