Steven Barton Double Organ Transplant Fund
Donation protected
Please help my cousin Steven Barton and his parents as they anxiously wait for a life-saving and trailblazing Heart and Liver Transplant at UNH, Toronto. Steven was born with a congenital heart defect and has shocked specialists his whole life by beating the odds. He has undergone several recent procedures while preparing for transplant. His team of 16 doctors and surgeons, who are consulting with experts at UCLA, are ready to perform this surgery in Toronto and are confident that Steven is an exemplary candidate (determined, optimistic, and tough as nails) and we've been assured that he continues to astound. His surgery will serve as a teaching model for many transplants to come. Steven has been back and forth for consultation and in hospital for combined stays of over 3 months and the travel and extra housing costs in Toronto for his parents, Kellie and Scott Barton have already exceeded $15,000. They travel back and forth from their home in St. Thomas where they both work to support Steven on procedure days and weekends. Please help us support them in this endeavor. We also welcome your prayers, words of encouragement, and support as Steven waits for organs, which could take several months, and his recovery which also will take several months. Thank you for being part of this.
