With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Steve Viola on Thursday, April 6th, 2023.
On Tuesday, April 4th, Steve suffered a serious stroke and was rushed to the Mississauga Trillium Hospital. He had surgery to remove a blood clot in his basal artery. The surgery was successful however too much time had passed depriving his brain of oxygen and Steve sadly passed away.
In the spirit of kindness and generosity, we're raising money to support the future education of Steve's daughter Frankie.
Steve is the oldest of 3 brothers who originated La Casa Dolce bakery in Mississauga with his two other brothers David & Andrew. Steve was known for not only his business background but his larger-than-life personality.
He was one of the most selfless and caring individuals who always treated people like family. Whether you were a family member, went to school with him, played sports with him or were a first-time customer, Steve treated you like family. He was always working hard yet made time for everyone.
At the young age of 37, Steve strived to always improve the business, was never afraid to try new things and had a heart of gold.
When his father Frank passed away in 2015, he instantly stepped up to be the voice of the family. He always spoke with reasoning and added humour into the mix at the same time.
Steve leaves behind his loving wife Melody and his beautiful daughter Frankie. His love for life and people will be continued through these two strong women and the support of the wonderful family and community around them. Steve’s legacy will be forever continued in each person that has ever had the blessing to meet him.
We want to celebrate the life Steve had with happiness rather than sadness as this is near and dear to his heart. We will continue to celebrate his life with laughter, memories and lots of love always.
Love always,
