Steven Ely's Medical Expenses

On April 22nd, 2021, a shooter with a "Ghost Gun" shot Steven Ely along with five others outside his son's music gig in San Diego. Justice Boldin was 28-years-old and passed away on the scene.
Steven Ely was shot in the torso/stomach and is currently at UCSD in the trauma center. His condition is currently stable, but fluctuating, as he has had two operations in two days and will continue to receive care.

He has an excellent group of doctors and nurses over at the Scripps UCSD Trauma ICU department who are doing amazing work. He is working his way back off his ventilator as of today and his body is fighting off infections, blood loss, and other traumas related to his injuries. There may be another series of surgeries to come but we just don't know at the moment as they monitor his condition minute to minute, hour by hour, day by day.
His medical bills are going to start coming in and we will spare no expense to make sure he gets all the care he needs through recovery.
As a school teacher for 30+ years, he has helped many students in the San Diego county. His family is doing everything they can to make this process easier on Steven.
He is a fighter and we know he will be OK but this is going to be a long slow battle back through recovery.
Please donate anything you can as this will be an incredible help in his recovery process.
We will try to post updates of his status as often as possible but our phone lines have been flooded and it is hard to keep up with everything happening. We thank all of you for all your loving messages and support.
If anyone has any way of putting us in touch with his first responders that helped save multiple people's lives that night or the people that tackled the gunman down, that would be greatly appreciated. Please post information in the comment section below.
Thank you,
