Steven Mailloux Medical Fund

Donation protected
In November of 2020, after a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration with family, my husband Steven Mailloux, 54 years of age, suffered a massive stroke which required a decompressive craniectomy to save his life.  After many weeks in a coma, multiple surgeries, and complications that continue to this day, Steven still woke up but unfortunately was left with complete left- sided paralysis and the inability to speak, eat or swallow.  He breathes on his own but has a tracheostomy to assist with respiration.  Despite all these physical deficits, he is fighting hard and gaining baby steps each day.  As we say - very , very small steps.  Currently, Steven resides in a nursing facility. My family's goal is to bring Steve back to his home to live with his family which consists of three sons and four loving young grandchildren. Unfortunately, his medical bills are mounting, and assistance will be needed to continue his care. Before Steve suffered the stroke, he was gainfully employed as a successful car salesman but was laid off during the COVID-19 pandemic and lost his healthcare and life insurance policy as well as any financial support for his wife.   With the goal of getting Steve home, resources will be needed to purchase certain medical supplies such as feeding tubes, tracheostomy supplies, and splints for his legs as well as nursing care and home health aides. Some architectural changes such as a wheelchair ramp need to be added to our home.  Please support me and my family as we pray for Steven’s continued medical improvement and his journey home.  Steve spent his life giving to others and his community, focusing on his children and grandchildren as well as helping his long-term customers.  He was also a loving member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he served the Lord and his community.

We thank you, much love from Cheryl-Ann Mailloux, his loving wife of 33 years, his sons Adam, Eric, Colin, his daughter-in-law Alyssa, his four grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Nico and Octavia. Your donation would mean the world to us and we thank you for all the kind words and continued prayers.
