My sister, Madison, and I are raising funds for our dad's memorial service. Our dad, Steven Robert Vallance Jr., unexpectedly and very suddenly passed away the evening of October 8, 2023. While we have attempted to contact his doctor several times to discuss the cause of his passing, he is refusing to return our calls. This has caused a considerable amount of stress and frustration for us and the immediate family. We did not anticipate our dad passing away and we are working as hard as possible to honor the requests he made of my sister and I should he pass away. Unfortunately, my sister and I are financially unable to cover the entirety of what is needed for memorializing him.

My sister and I are attempting to raise $3,700 to fund the memorial tablet that will be placed over his grave in Forest Lawn ($2,056); an urn for interment and jewelry for family that will contain his ashes ($600); and support with costs related to his memorial service ($950). We are asking for slightly above what we need in order to cover the 2.9% transaction fee per donation.

With the generous support of family and friends, as well as spending from our savings, we have already covered the following expenses:

Cremation services and associated costs: $1,865

Forest Lawn Interment and associated costs: $1,500

Autopsy to determine cause of death: $4,400

Total: $7,765
